Wireless 5G is an updated version of existing technology but are we sure it's safe for Canadian's? Below are some of the key considerations when contemplating Wireless 5G.
Health Canada's track record in acting in a timely manner is not good: Asbestos, Cigarette smoking, Bisphenol-A (BPA), Thalidomide and Urea formaldehyde insulation are only a few examples.
Here is what Health Canada is currently recommending re: BPA... "Health Canada's Food Directorate has concluded that the current dietary exposure to BPA through food packaging uses is not expected to pose a health risk to the general population including newborns and infants" source
5G technology is an extension of wireless technology (1G, 2G, 3G, 4G and LTE) that has proven links to cancer, sterility and learning development in people.

Dense populations (work or home) may require 5G antennae every 200 meters. The picture opposite shows 5G small cell antenna (red arrows and green circles) close to homes: three of about 100 installed in Mission, BC.

Cisco projects 500 billion devices and the UN projects 8 billion people which equates to an average of 59 connected wireless devices for every person on Earth.
Safety Code 6 is the set of guidelines determined by Health Canada to protect us from the radiation emitted by wireless devices. Safety Code 6 has not had any major updates since it was established in 1979. By 2030, projections are that there will be 59 connected wireless devices for every person on the Earth. Safety Code 6 needs to be updated before the next wave of wireless devices is implemented.

So what do we want?
We are calling for Safety Code 6 (2015) to be revised based on the best available scientific evidence obtained from a systematic review of the relevant literature according to international standards. This will include a transparent process with full public input.
